Maths

Watch the videos using the links below and answer the questions from the worksheets uploaded. 
Day 1:Activity Add by counting on (There is no additional worksheet today)
Day 2:Add by counting on
Day 3:Add ones using number bonds (first part of worksheet)
Day 4:Add ones using number bonds (second part of worksheet)
Day 5: Big Maths. Set a timer for 30 seconds. Answer as many questions as you can in that time. Check your answers before completing the remainder of questions.

English
This weeks' text is 'Prince Cinders' 
Day 1. Follow this link to hear the story HERE  Tell someone at home how it is similar to the story of Cinderella and which parts are different. 
Day 2. Prince Cinders. In the story, the author describes Prince Cinders at the beginning of the story. An adjective is a describing word (e.g small, big, red, ) Which adjectives do they use to describe him. Look at the picture I have uploaded to help you describe him. Write sentences to describe Prince Cinders using the adjectives you have heard in the story. 
Day 3. Using the pictures uploaded, orally retell the story by following the pictures. Think about how you can use adjectives words to describe the characters as you retell the story. 
Day 4. Using the pictures from yesterday, look at the pictures to help you to retell the story in writing. Remember to use those adjectives to describe the characters. Read your story back and check you have used capital letters and full stops accurately. 
Day 5. Plurals. Today, we will be thinking about adding 'es' to words to make them plural. Look at the powerpoint which explains how this works. Then changes these words to make them plural. Write a sentence for each word:
bus,  glass, match, bus, dish

Reading
Each day, read your books on Bug club. Remember to answer the questions where you see the bug.
Then read the uploaded Phase  2 or 3 reading comprehension. 

Phonics
This week we are revisiting our phase 4 blends.

1. Look at the phase 4 sound mat and say the sounds you see.
2. Read the phase 4 words uploaded. Sound out the words, then blend the sounds together to read the word.
3. Read and spell the phase 4 tricky words
4. Read the Phase 4 text and answer the questions. 
5. Read the phase 5 sentences
