Remote learning 14th December 2020

This weeks' learning:

This week in Maths, we will be recapping on some of the learning we have done over this half term.
1. Watch the videos and look at the activity sheets ('Get the activity') attached on the Whiterose website. HERE
2. Recap on counting with the uploaded worksheets.
3. Recap on 1 more with the uploaded worksheet.
4. Recap on 1 less with the uploaded worksheet.
5. Have a go at 1 more and 1 less with the uploaded worksheet.
6. This week, we are making calendars. Your calendar needs to have a page for each moth of the year. There are 12 months, so you will need 12 pieces of paper and 1 more for the front cover.  Draw a grid and write the numbers for the date in each box. Have a look at the 'Calendar template ideas in the files to download to give you an idea about how your calendar could look.

In Literacy this week, we are making 2021 calendars and writing a message on the back for someone special.
Have a go at writing your message. Your message should start with who the calendar is To  (e.g To Dad) and it should end with who it is from. Think about a short message you would like to write (e.g I hope you like it)

Draw a picture for the front of your 2021 calendar. Then a picture for each of the months. Have a look at the 'Calendar template ideas) in the files to download to give you an idea about how your calendar could look.

Each day, read your books on Bug Club.
Then have a go at the phonics text attached. Have a go at answering the questions.

1. Sing along with the jolly phonics songs.HERE
2. Practise recognising and writing the phase 2 sounds attached. Use this website to help you form your letters HERE Use your finger to write the sounds in the air, on the floor, then with a pencil, write the sound on paper.
3. Play the Buried treasure game on HERE Choose the phase 2 sounds. This game will help you to read words. Sound out the word, then blend the sounds together to read the word.
