In our English lessons, we have been learning about the features of newspaper articles. Last week, we learnt how to use direct and indirect speech, which are a common feature in newspaper articles. Complete the following activities to help to prepare you for writing a newspaper report.
1. Read through the Newspaper powerpoint to learn about the features.
2. Look at the WAGOLL (What a good one looks like) of a newspaper report.
3. Read the newspaper report (Back to earth with a bump) and use the checklist to identify the features in this newspaper.
4. Write up a conversation between you and someone in your house in direct speech. Ensure you use the correct speech punctuation. If you are unsure what this looks like, look back on the SPaG work from last week.

In the spellings tab at the top of Year 4 class page, work through the spellings at your own pace. Choose a spelling strategy from the selection of spelling strategies uploaded.

Each day, read your books on Bug Club. Don't forget to answer the questions where you see the bug.
Then have a go at one of the uploaded comprehension texts. If you have been learning your phonics in class, choose one of those texts to have a go at.

In Science we are learning about electrical conductors and insulators. Have a go of the Oak national academy lesson HERE.
