Maths 

Day 1- I want you to complete the addition and subtraction assessment. Once you have finished it, check the answers and mark it to see how you did.

Day 2- I want you complete the arithmetic assessment. Once you have finished it, check the answers and mark it see how you did.

Day 3- I want you to complete the reasoning and problem-solving assessment. Once you have finished it, check the answers and mark it see how you did.

Day 4- I want you to use the times table mat to practise our times tables. Start on your 2s, 10s and 5s. Then go onto your 3s, 4s and 8s. To challenge yourself can you do the rest? Time yourself on each one to see how quickly you can do it.

Day 5 – Please watch this video https://youtu.be/MkLSGFEHLxQ for a lesson starter and quick activity. Then, complete the learn it challenge to practise you quick recall skills.

 

Literacy/ writing

Day 1- Our spelling pattern is words with the ‘ay’ sound spelt ‘ei’, eigh, or ‘ey’. Use the Spelling pattern sheet, practise the words. Can you find the definition of the words? Furthermore, make sure that you practise you high frequency words.

Day 2- Today, we are focusing on using conjunctions. Watch the Conjunctions video to help you . Then, you have 2 tasks. First, go to the because, although and while conjunctions document. Cut them out and muddle them up. Next, match the sentences together using the correct conjunctions. After, use the conjunctions word mat to make up your own sentences that use conjunctions.

Day 3- We are looking at narrative characters. Today, there is the protagonist, who is basically the good person in a story. Use the help sheets and the WAGOLL to help you, but create your own protagonist. You must make sure that you write about their appearance (what they look like) and their personality (what they are like as a person).

Use the help sheets and the WAGOLL to help you, but create your own antagonist You must make sure that you write about their appearance (what they look like) and their personality (what they are like as a person).

Reading/ phonics

Our topic for this term is Dear Greenpeace. A lovely story that features a whale. Can you read the Whales reading comprehensions? Then, can you answer the questions on the questions and answer booklets.

 

Science

Use the Vocabulary list to help you complete the concept mat. What do you know about plants?

Art

Use the helpsheet to give you some ideas, but I want you to be creative. Look out of your window. What can you see? Have a go at drawing it.
