This weeks' learning:

Watch the videos and then complete the questions on the attached worksheets. 
Day 1: Recap Measure perimeter
Day 2: Perimeter on a grid
Day 3: Perimeter of a rectangle
Day 4: Perimeter of rectilinear shapes
Day 5: Big Maths questions. Time yourself with how many questions you can do in 60 seconds. Look at the answers to see how many you got correct. 

Spellings: Practice the spelling words for year 3 and year 4 in the tab at the top of the class page. 
Grammar: We are looking at identifying types of nouns and categorising them into specific types of nouns. 
1. Have a look at the Types of nouns poster, to learn which type of noun is in which category.
2.  On paper make 4 columns, or use 4 pieces of paper, like the ones attached. Write the Headings: Proper Nouns, common nouns, abstract nouns and collective nouns. Then using the attached list of words, sort them into the correct category. Look at the answers to see how you did. 

1. Each day, read your books on Bug Club. Don't forget to answer the questions where you see the bug. 
2. Have a go at one of the comprehension tasks attached: 'Plastic Pollution' choose a 1 star, 2 star or 3 star set of questions. If you have been learning your phonics in class, choose from a Phase 3 or Phase 5 comprehension task.

How are electrical appliances (like fridges, washing machines, toasters, TVs, phones, PS4s) powered in your house - by mains electricity or by battery? Are they charged up by the mains but then still run on their own battery when you un-plug them? Have a go at the task called How appliance are powered.
