Maths
Day 1: Adding and subtracting decimals with a different number of decimal places problem solving
Day 2: Adding and subtracting wholes and decimals
Day 3: Decimal sequences
Day 4: Multiplying decimals by 10, 100 and 1,000
Day 5: Dividing decimals by 10, 100 and 1,000

 

Reading
Day 1: 
Bug Club: You have a range of levelled fiction, non-fiction and poetry books in your Bug Club library. Remember, wherever you see a bug there is a question waiting to be answered!
Day 2: Stage 6: Banksy Reading Comprehension or an easier text try Stage 5: Hansel and Gretel. Still too hard, try Stage 4: Plastic Dinners. Or, complete all three.

SPaG - Prepositions - Leopards
Day 1:
Time to practise your weekly spellings.
Day 2: 
Click HERE to watch the video on Leopards. Then click on ‘The Grammar Bit’ to revise how to use prepositions in sentences.
Day 3: 
Click HERE to watch the video again, and then complete the ‘Whiteboard Challenges’
Day 4: 
Complete the uploaded ‘Nature Worksheet’.
Day 5: 
Click HERE to watch the video of Leopards then complete the ‘Word Challenge’.

 

Writing
Day 1:
Spellings - look at the new spelling list. Write a sentence out using each word on the list. Look up the word if you are unsure of the meaning.
Day 2:
Edit and improve your writing. Have you checked the punctuation? Looked up the spelling of any words you are not sure about? Can you add any more adjectives to add detail? Have you included bullet points? 
Day 3:
Redraft your writing for presentation. Start to write out your work using the Level 3 of the presentation. 
Day 4:
Add drawings, illustrations and cut out lettering from old newspapers. 


Day 5:
Write Now - A Dangerous Pet - Read the uploaded TASK and write a story. Use the story starter below to help:

Story Starter:

The King had known that the gift he presented to his children on their 5th birthday was dangerous. He was prepared to take the risk of letting them own a pet dragon, however. One day, the twins would rule the kingdom together, and they would need all the
help they could get. No-one could deny that a dragon was a powerful ally!

Before that day, though, the children had much work to do. They had to train their dragon!

Science
This week we are investigating how the effect of exercise can have on heart rate. Read the uploaded information and complete the TASK. We will be trying to answer the scientific question: How does heart rate change
during and after exercise? You may be able to answer the following questions too: How did your heart rate change over time? Can you describe this change? What caused it?

 

PSHCE
This week we will be learning about setting yourself goals and challenges. Read the POWERPONT and the INSTRUCTIONS and then complete the uploaded TASK. 

 

RE
Following from last week's RE lesson, research and complete the uploaded fact file about a key individual who has been part of a non-violent protest movement. To help you write the fact file, use the uploaded information sheets: Mahatma Gandhi, Nelson Mandela, Aung San Suu Kyi (from last week’s RE), John Hume or Martin Luther King.

 

French
This week, we will be learning the vocabulary for clothes. Go through the uploaded POWERPOINT and complete the task on the last slide.
