Maths
White Rose Bakery.
By the end of this project you will have created your own cupcakes and your own packaging for them. Throughout this project you will have the opportunity to practise lots of skills that you've learned in your maths lessons throughout the year. Have fun!

As usual, we have uploaded the answers for this week's activities so you can mark your own. Play the roll of the teacher! You can mark it before sending it to us. We will then have a look at how you have done, and feedback as soon as we are able.  We can help with any misconceptions you may have.

 

Reading
Day 1: 
Bug Club: You have a range of levelled fiction, non-fiction and poetry books in your Bug Club library. Remember, wherever you see a bug there is a question waiting to be answered!
Day 2:
Complete the 'Bizarre Laws' Reading Comprehension 
Day 3:
Reading for enjoyment.  Catch up on current events and politics, alongside news on entertainment, sport and computer games in this week's edition of First News.  Then complete the First News 'Four Stories' Reading Comprehension.

Day 1: CLICK HERE to recap the different tenses (past, present and future), then explore how verbs change when they are in the simple past if they are regular or irregular verbs. 
Day 2: CLICK HERE to revise the three tenses: past, present, future. We will then break them down into past, present and future progressive tense. Lastly, we will recap knowledge of how regular and irregular verbs change in the past tense. 
Day 3: CLICK HERE to review the past, present and future progressive tense. 
Day 4: CLICK HERE to explore using apostrophes for both possession and contraction. 
Day 5: CLICK HERE to explore how to use apostrophes for plural possession, and to investigate how and why we can use apostrophes for contraction.  

 

Writing 
Day 1:

Day 2: CLICK HERE to watch the rest of the Robin Hood tale by the story teller.
Day 3:
CLICK HERE to listen to and read, 'Robin Hood and the Golden Arrow' - have a go at the questions at the bottom of the page.
Day 4:
Use both these texts to write a story about Robin Hood. You could rewrite either story or 'magpie' bits from both. Use these vocabulary and sentence openers to help. Also use the uploaded story planning recources.
Day 5: 
Reread your writing to check it makes sense, and check that the spelling and punctuation is correct. Rewrite it for presentation concentrating on your handwriting.
