Maths

Day 1: Rounding to the nearest 100 and 1000
Day 2: Addition and Subtraction Pyramids
Day 3: Multiplication facts.  Practise against the clock by playing Hit the Button
Day 4: Fluent in Five
Day 5: Roman numerals

 

Reading
Day 1: Start the week by reading an edition of First News.
Day 2: Bug Club: You have a range of levelled fiction, non-fiction and poetry books in your Bug Club library. Remember, wherever you see a bug there is a question waiting to be answered!
Day 3: Sixth Wife Wanted Reading Comprehension
Day 4: Bug Club.
Day 5: Chip Plan For Cats - First News Comprehension.

 

SPaG
Day 1: Silent letters - Watch the POWERPOINT on silent letters and then complete the uploaded TASK. Check out how you have done with the ANSWERS.
Day 2: Direct speech: hermet crab -  Click HERE to watch the video and then complete the ‘Word Challenge’. Click on ‘The Grammar Bit’ to revise how to write direct speech accurately.
Day 3: Direct speech: hermet crab - Click HERE to complete the ‘Whiteboard Challenge’.
Day 4: Complete the uploaded Direct speech: hermet crab TASK
Day 5: Complete the uploaded SPaG mat. There are 3 levels to choose from.    *   easier       **  moderate      ***  harder

 

Writing

Each day use the uploaded plan (like we did with the meerkats one last week) to write a short story in the style of Shaun Tan. 
Day 1: Supermarket
Day 2: Statue
Day 3: Washing up
Day 4: Windmills
Day 5: Vets

 

Science
This week label the parts of the heart system. There are two uploaded diagrams to label with the answers for you to look at too in case you get stuck. It is a challenge. 

 

Art
We are looking at whether graffiti can be considered art. We have discussed in class various artists like Banksy and our own Sheffield artist Pete McKee. Have a go at writing your own name or positive word / message in the style of graffiti writing.

PSHCE
We are thinking about what embarrasses us and learning something about yourself that you didn’t know before. Watch the uploaded POWERPOINT and then have a go at uploaded TASK 1, 2 and 3.


PE
