This week's Y5/6T's learning:
For Red Nose day this year (Friday 19th March) we are saying the children can wear what they want and we are going to hold a competition and ask the children to design red noses
They can be as creative as you like- draw/ paint/ model in 3-D etc, etc Remember- noses come in all shapes and sizes!.
They will be judged on Friday morning.
Let's have a bit of fun and as the saying goes... do something funny for money.
Children can pay whatever they want. Please see the letter that was sent home with your child Friday.
Maths
Day 1: Subtraction
Complete the True or False TASK?
Complete the Yellow or Blue subtraction word problems.
Complete the addition and subtraction word problems: choose from 1 star = easier, 2 star = harder, 3 star = hardest
Day 2: Multiply numbers up to 4 digits by two-digit number using a formal written method
Day 3: Big maths and Multiplication Board Game
Day 5: Multiplication and DIvision Mosaic

Writing
Day 1: Spellings - Look at the uploaded activties on the letter string 'ough'.
Can you complete the rap? Can you complete the tongue twister?
Day 2: Research on jellyfish - type in Google - 'jellyfish KS2' to find relevant websites to use.
Day 3: First draft from planning
Day 4: Edit and redraft first draft of writing for presentation
Day 5: Illustrate and complete your final piece
PE
Monday: Start the week with these stretches to warm your body up: Wake up, Strengthen your focus and Chin up
Thursday: Try these PE At Home Challenges: "Hopscotch", "Bop it" and "Towel Fold Target" - what's your personal best? (scroll down for the videos)
Art
We will be learning to mix paint in order to create a colour wash background and use cutting skills to create a silhouette
- First, create a sunset colour wash for a back ground.
- Then cut a hole in a black piece of paper and a figure for Michael and Stella.
- Glue the silhouette to the colour wash once dry.
Use the uploaded WAGOLLs to help you.
PSHCE
This week in lesson 4 of 'Good to be me' we will be looking at 'Agreeing and Disagreeing' and learning how to agree and disagree with others repectfully. You need to play the POWERPOINT first before completing the TASK.
RE
In RE, we are exploring our commitments and expressing why we have these commitments. Read through the POWERPOINT and complete the two TASKS.
Geography
